Some challenges facing NAC signing should be relaxed at the state-level meetings, said Nel Nal Pa Loe, spokesperson of Peace Negotiation Committee of the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP).

The PNC led by Khu Oo Rel, Vice-Chairman of the KNPP, met with the NRPC led by Lt-Gen Khin Zaw Oo (Retd) and Kayah State Chief Minister L Phaung Sho in Loikaw on May 6.

The meeting focused on the regular meeting between the KNPP and Kayan State Government to be held annually, regional development, health and education. Terms of Reference-TOR could be approved during the meeting.

Some important matters were discussed during the meeting. Some challenges facing NCA should be relaxed at the state-level meetings.

The agreements approved by both sides are needed to be followed. Challenges must be overcome. Conflicts must be reduced. Regional stability must be maintained. The regular meetings are of importance to discuss regional development, health and education. The regular meetings bring about benefits, said  spokesperson Nel Nal Pa Loe.
