Seven ethnic armed groups who signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), known as seven NCA-signatory Ethnic Armed Organizations (7 NCA-SEAO), have come together as the "7 NCA Alliance." This new alliance aims to achieve lasting peace in Myanmar through political means.

The alliance emerged from a two-day meeting held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where the groups discussed the current political situation and their shared vision for the future. This vision includes a federal democratic union that respects the rights of all ethnicities.

The 7 NCA Alliance is committed to: holding regular political talks with all interested parties, identifying those who share their desire for peace, encouraging organizations to prioritize civilian safety, and building a platform for public participation in peacebuilding efforts.

To achieve these goals, the alliance will develop methods to identify those seeking peace and raise awareness of civilian protection responsibilities.

The alliance is led by General Yawd Serk and Naing Aung Min. They are determined to overcome the current crisis through political dialogue and collaboration, ultimately building a unified and democratic Myanmar.
