Chauk claims crown: named hottest city globally

Among the 15 hottest cities in the world, Chauk from Myanmar ranks first, followed by Magway, Minbu, NyaungU and Sagaing, stated in Eldoradoweather, which reports weather news.

On April 23, among the 15 hottest cities in the world, Chauk in Myanmar was ranked number 1 at 45.8 degrees Celsius.

Magway ranked third with 45 degrees Celsius, while Minbu stood at seventh with 44.5 degrees Celsius.

NyaungU is in 8th place with 44.5 degrees Celsius. It is also found that Sagaing is in the 15th place with 43.8 degrees Celsius.

Since April, Chauk in Magway Region has been at the top of the hottest cities in the world.

According to the announcements of the Myanmar’s Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH), during the third week of April, the daytime temperature in the central regions of Myanmar could be 1.5 degrees Celsius or higher than the average April temperature.

Temperatures will be 1.5 degrees Celsius or higher than the average April temperature in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady and Tanintharyi regions, and Shan, Kayah and Mon states, and will be average temperature of April in Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin states, announced the DMH.
