NSPNC meets with representatives from 43 registered political parties

The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) convened with representatives from 43 registered political parties at the NSPNC center in Nay Pyi Taw on March 28.

Among the attendees were Union Minister for Border Affairs and NSPNC Chairman, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, alongside members of the coordination committee and chairs and vice-chairs from the 43 registered political parties.

During the session, Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung delivered a speech, engaging in discussions regarding potential amendments to the 2008 Constitution, as well as the formation of a political party group and a working committee to continue dialogue with the coordination committee.

After that, Lt. Gen. Win Bo Shein, a member of the coordination committee, talked about the points that should be amended from the Constitution (2008).

Secretary Lt. Gen. Min Naing of the Coordination Committee further elaborated on the committee's Vision and Missions, emphasizing dialogues with ethnic armed groups and operational conditions aligned with the NCA's three strategies.

After that, Col. Wunna Aung, another coordination committee member, provided insights into the Military Conscription Law, while Lt. Gen. Myo Thant Naing discussed further requirements.

Attendees actively participated by expressing their opinions, with U Aye Lwin, chairman of the National Political League of the Union of Myanmar, conveying gratitude on behalf of the political parties present. Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung concluded the meeting with a closing address.
