Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing met with Mr. Zhao Leji, Chairman of China's National People's Congress (NPC), at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing at approximately 3:30 p.m. local time on June 16, according to reports.

President U Min Aung Hlaing is currently on a state goodwill visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Earlier on June 16, he attended an official welcoming ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where he was received with military honors by President Xi Jinping.

Following the welcoming ceremony, the two sides held bilateral talks and exchanged a total of 18 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs).

Afterward, the Myanmar high-level delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing attended a luncheon hosted by President Xi Jinping.

Later in the afternoon of June 16, local time, President U  Min Aung Hlaing and his delegation visited the Monument to the People's Heroes in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, where they laid a wreath in tribute.
