A delegation led by U Ko Ko, Chairman of the Union Election Commission (UEC), embarked on a significant journey to Russia on March 12, responding to an invitation from the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia.

The delegation's agenda includes not only observing the Russian presidential election but also participating in an International Scientific and Practical Conference scheduled in Moscow.

Through this endeavor, the UEC aims to glean insights into Russia's election methodologies, management techniques, and technological integration within the electoral process. Moreover, the conference offers a platform for international election observers to exchange perspectives and share valuable experiences.

As they set off on their educational journey, U Ko Ko and his delegation received a warm send-off at Mandalay International Airport. Among those bidding farewell were Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, regional government ministers, UEC members including U Than Aung Kyaw, and officials from the Mandalay Region Election Commission branch office.
