Naypyitaw State Academy has been opened, and the third year courses will be opened and taught in the 2022-2023 academic year, and the course years will be expanded year by year, said Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The opening ceremony of the Naypyitaw State Academy under the Ministry of Education was held on November 9 and the SAC Chairman attended and gave a speech.

The purpose of opening Naypyitaw State Academy is to make Naypyitaw the capital of education, the children of the families of state employees working in Naypyitaw and the children of the local residents of Zambu Thiri, Zeya Thiri, Uttara Thiri, Dakhina Thiri, Pobba Thiri, Pyinmana, Tatkone and Leway townships in Nay Pyi Taw will be able to choose and learn a variety of advanced sciences at international level, he said.

Furthermore, we must make a focused effort it to become the leading university for wisdom by emphasizing and encouraging teaching and learning based on causal thinking and producing scholars who can bring about applied research and high socio-economic life of the nation. Similarly, Naypyitaw State Academy was established with the aim of becoming one of the leading universities in the country like Yangon University and Mandalay University. It has been seen that the current university also has established major faculties as the major faculties of Yangon University and Mandalay University have been formed. Major faculties such as Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social Studies and Faculty of Sports, are included. In addition to the qualified teachers, the subject experts working in various departments in Nay Pyi Taw will be brought together and they will provide training at the university, so he is very satisfied, said the SAC Chair.

In Naypyitaw State Academy, the third year courses will be opened and taught in the 2022-2023 academic year, and the course years will be expanded year by year. In addition, it will be opened up to postgraduate classes such as doctorate and master classes, and will be able to produce high-quality human resources needed for the development of the country, which is encouraging for the country as well. If we include the newly opened Naypyitaw State Academy, there will be a total of 175, including 75 degree colleges and universities under the Ministry of Education and universities, degree colleges and colleges under 11 ministries, which have been opened. There is a Naypyitaw State Academy, University of Forestry, University of Agriculture, University of Veterinary Science, and soon a university that will raise the level of a technical university will emerge in Nay Pyi Taw, so the road is being paved as an education capital, said the SAC Chair.

In addition, the government provides with all the necessary facilities such as high-quality teaching and learning methods, international level curriculum, modern teaching aids, modern clinical equipment, research laboratories and modern libraries for Naypyitaw State Academy, which will be taught by good and really good teachers to become a leading university like Yangon University and Mandalay University. Students will be taught and trained to become great scholars who have intelligent, think highly of knowledge and have full of skills. Quality should be prioritized over quantity, and efforts should be made to produce a large number of high-quality professionals in the future, he said.
