Under a drinking water donation programme between Eleven Media Group and other well-wishers, motorboats carrying drinking water went to five coastal villages in Pyinsalu Township, Ayeyawady Region, on May 5 following a request from those villages facing water shortages.

Water was carried from Mingalar Lake to the villages by motorboat under the cooperation of a team led by the Aung Theikdi Monastery abbot in Pyinsalu, departmental officials and local charity organizations.

"Currently, they are in trouble facing severe shortages of drinking water.  Ponkama, Thingangon and Kakaro villages have to rely on lake water. All lakes have dried up. So, we had to phone the abbot for help. He immediately rendered help. Drinking water was distributed systematically here. We thank the donors from Eleven Media very much. Our office is in great trouble," said Myo Paing, administrator of Hsachat Village.

Eleven Media Group and other well-wishers donate drinking water to villages on a daily basis. For help, contacts can be made with the monastery abbot.
