Published 26 January 2022

There are incitements to a silent strike, and those who follow such incitements could face legal action under the existing law, the State Administration Council (SAC) has warned in a press statement.

The State-run newspapers quoted the statement as saying that currently, CRPH and NUG terrorist groups, their subordinates and collusive groups and persons spread incitements to organize silent strike and sound strike such as clapping strikes, banging pots and pans and blaring car horns to disrupt the State stability and intimidate the public via their Facebook accounts. It is here announced that the people would face legal actions under the law if they follow such incitements.

If the people follow and make their incitements and propaganda without understanding or by fear or by sounds or by manners or by any means, destructive elements against people, sharing the propaganda and supportive measures, they will face action under the Counter-Terrorism Law Section 52 (a), Penal Code Section 124-A and Section 505-A, Electronic Transactions Law Section 33 (a) and the other existing laws.

Moreover, the movable and immovable properties which are related to the crimes will be confiscated if found guilty. Therefore, it is hereby announced that the people should not participate in spreading propaganda of terrorist groups, subordinates, their collusive groups and persons, and if not, they could face action under the law, the statement says.
