Myanmar found 1,003 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on October 27 bringing total number of patients to 496,901, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health (MOH).

A total of 20,594 samples are tested between 8 pm of October 26 and 8 pm of October 27 and found 1,003 patients. 21 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 18,603, according to a report from the MOH.

A total of 4,791,847 samples are tested till October 27 and 1,659 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing total number to 461,883, it said.

Cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have been on the rise since the end of May along with the infection and mortality rates, and the infection and mortality rates have declined after August 5.
