More than 14 million people complete COVID-19 vaccination up to November 9

More than 14 million people in Myanmar completed COVID-19 jabs up to November 9 according to Ministry of Health.

The Ministry has given COVID-19 vaccination depending on age priority lists. Up to November 9, about 8.85 million people completed full dose of COVID-19 and 5.3 million people completed one dose of COVID-19 jabs. Altogether 14.15 million people received COVID-19 jabs.

Till November 7, Ministry of Health has bought 2 million doses of Covidsheild, 24 million doses of Sinopharm, 2 million doses of Sinovac and there are over 8 million doses of COVID vaccination donated from China, India and Russia.

Beginning from October 17, COVID-19 jabs have given to above 45 years of age. Since September 14, priority lists for COVID-19 jabs have been increased and the lists include people above 55 years of age, disable, ethnic armed forces members and their families, IDPs and people from refugee camps and those with non-communicable diseases. 

The Ministry has urged people to get COVID jabs without fail and to get vaccination fully.
