Weak monsoon winds will make less rain in Myanmar for the next three days and the danger of river flooding is not imminent, said Kyaw Moe Oo, Director General of Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

More rain is still expected to pour in southern and northern parts of Myanmar around July 18.

“Rain will be poured down but there will be less rain within two or three days’ time. There may be isolated rainfall in the middle parts of Myanmar. Monsoon wind will be strong around July 18,” he said.

The danger of river flooding is not imminent and people living in lower areas need to be careful of flooding as water level may be reached to its danger level in Pakokku and Nyaung-U, he said.
