The People's Pioneer Party (PPP) will use its management experience to win the 2020 general election, said party secretary Saw Han Aye.

He made the remark during a ceremony to open the Sangyoung Township PPP Office.

The majority of party members are business people while the rest are made up of technocrats and former civil service personnel.

Despite having little experience in politics, party members will use their management experiences and capacity to make profit in businesses to win the election, he added.

“How will we deal with strong and weak points, opportunities and threats? As we are entrepreneurs, we have understood management. We can use our experience. We can use it to win the election,” Saw Han Aye said.

He pointed out that despite knowing PPP to a certain extent through social media, most people can hardly know about the party’s political activities as they have to struggle with their daily living conditions. So, people who are fed up with voting need to be motivated to go to polling stations, he commented.

The township party office opening was attended by chairperson Thet Thet Khaing and vice chairman (1) Myint Maung Tun. They made opening speeches.

Thet Thet Khaing said her party would prioritize socioeconomic development adding that it is also the duty of a political party to ensure peace and the rule of law and amend the constitution.

PPP has announced it will run for election set for November 8 in over 70 townships of Yangon Region, Bago Region, Mandalay Region, Mon State, Magway Region and Shan State.
