Amidst escalating temperatures, Mandalay and Pyay cities have witnessed tragic fatalities due to the scorching heat, with reports indicating three to four individuals suffering from heatstroke daily, as revealed by local social aid organizations.

On April 29, a distressing incident occurred as a man afflicted by heatstroke was admitted to the hospital but tragically passed away, as confirmed by an official from the Manisala Social Aid Association.

"The heat claimed another life yesterday right in front of the hospital. The deceased was a victim of severe heatstroke. We are now attending to an alarming average of three to four cases daily. The intensity of the sun's rays is unprecedented," the official lamented.
