The school enrollment week of 2024-2025 academic year is set from May 23 to June 2, according to the Ministry of Education.

The Union Minister for Education, Dr. Nyunt Phay, said at the meeting hall in office No. (13) during an online meeting with the university rectors, education degree college principals and regional and state education officials that universities, degree colleges, basic education schools under the ministry and universities and schools in related ministries will be opened at the same time on June 3.

The Union Minister said before opening the school, the necessary preparations must be made. They must pay attention to school and surrounding cleanliness and improve the character of the school. Especially in some areas where schools could not be opened, all schools must be fully reopened.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the school enrollment week was set from May 23 to 31. In this academic year, Grade-9 and Grade-12 classes will be taught with a new curriculum, and the teachers who will teach will be provided with the central level course to further advanced courses.

On May 23, which is the first day of the school enrollment week for the 2023-2024 academic year, there were 1,343,037 students enrolled in basic education schools, private schools and monastic education schools in various regions and states.
