The State Administration Council's Information Team disclosed the convening of a significant meeting between the defense ministries of Myanmar and Russia to discuss military cooperation laws held at the Jasmine Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on March 20.

It focused on legal consultations as part of the 2024 military cooperation plan between the two nations.

Among the attendees are Judge Advocate General Lieutenant General Myo Thant Naing from the Office of the Defence Services (Army) and Mr. Bezbabnov OIeg Gennadievich, Director of the Law Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Also present were Colonel Sergey Semenovich Kurchenko, the Russian military attaché to Myanmar, and representatives from the Russian Federation.

The meeting commenced with opening remarks from Judge Advocate General Lieutenant General Myo Thant Naing and Mr. Bezbabnov OIeg Gennadievich. Discussions revolved around legal aspects concerning Russia's military legal system, judicial matters, and Myanmar's military judiciary, aligning with the mutual military cooperation objectives outlined for 2024.
