At the fourth party conference of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) on September 20, 2026, U Khin Yi was re-elected as party chairman and pledged to dedicate his full efforts to transforming the USDP into a "modern, people-centered political party."

In his acceptance speech, U Khin Yi expressed gratitude to the election supervision committee and party delegates for their trust. Drawing on his past political experience, he committed to leading with an integrated perspective covering politics, economics, social development, party organizing, and international relations. He framed the previous five years as a foundational period for institutional rebuilding, emphasizing that the upcoming five-year term must elevate the party's political responsibilities to a much higher standard.

To translate this strategic vision into action, U Khin Yi announced a structured, phased implementation roadmap. The rollout begins with an immediate 90-day action plan running from October 1 to December 31, 2026, which will be followed by comprehensive one-year and five-year development frameworks. Acknowledging that sound policies often falter during execution, he stated that the USDP will institute a strict Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scoring system to systematically monitor progress, correct operational weaknesses, and ensure accountability across every party initiative.
