U Khin Yi Re-elected as USDP Chairman at Fourth Party Congress

U Khin Yi has been re-elected as chairman of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) following the conclusion of its Fourth Party Congress (2026), held in Nay Pyi Taw on September 19–20.

The two-day congress, held at the party headquarters, also saw the re-election of the party’s Central Committee and Central Executive Committee.

The newly formed Central Executive Committee includes U Khin Yi as chairman, U Myat Hein and U Thaung Aye as vice-chairmen, and U Tin Aung Chit as general secretary. Former Vice-Chairman U Hla Tun has retired from his party duties.

A total of 336 Central Committee members and 68 alternate Central Committee members were newly elected at the congress.
