Myanmar's National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and representatives from six Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement signatory ethnic armed organizations (NCA-S EAOs) convened for a two-day meeting in Yangon on September 29.

The talks were led by NSPNC Chair Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and attended by senior leaders from the RCSS, KNU/KNLA-PC, NMSP, LDU, DKBA, and ALP. Lt-Gen Yar Pyae highlighted the committee’s intent to engage with ethnic groups both collectively and individually to align their differing goals, treat political parties as collaborative partners, and urge non-signatory EAOs to enter the peace process. RCSS First Secretary Sao Sai Ngern welcomed the inclusive outreach, stressing that rebuilding trust remains the primary priority for signatory groups.

NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naing also presented plans for the upcoming 11th NCA anniversary workshop and outlined future negotiation frameworks aimed at securing binding agreements. Delegates further discussed regional stability, socioeconomic development in ethnic areas, and public-centered forums. The second day of talks resumed on September 30, following up on the central peace committee's open invitation for pre-condition-free dialogue issued earlier in April.
