A man in his middle age, residing in Mupon Ward, Mawlamyine, tragically passed away due to extreme heat, as reported by local sources.

Residents alerted the emergency rescue team about an unconscious man discovered outside a house on Oyone Road in Mupon Ward, Mawlamyine, around 4:30 pm on May 7. Upon examination by a doctor, it was confirmed that the man had already succumbed.

The deceased's body was transported to the mortuary at Mawlamyine Hospital by the Ayemya Kyilin Social Aid and Relief Association.

Additionally, a 19-year-old individual experienced dehydration and loss of consciousness due to high temperatures on the Mya Thapaik mountain road on May 4, as reported by social assistance and rescue groups.
