A rally in support of the military took place in Namhsam, Loilin District, southern Shan State, on November 11.

In the rally organized by the chairman of Namhsam Township War Veterans Organization, the demonstrators marched towards the town hall chanting slogans "Our Three Main National Causes".

More than 300 local people from Linkhae, Mongpan, Moehne, Kunhein and Namhsam participated in the rally.

"A similar rally was staged in Loilin yesterday. It was held again in Namhsam. We marched towards the town hall holding placards," said sub-inspector Myo Min Min Oo from Namhsam Township Police Station.

A pro-military democracy rally also took place in Loilin on November 10 under the supervision of the township war veterans organization. It was also attended by the chair of Taunggyi Township War Veterans Organization. The same placards were used in the Namhsam rally but not talks were given.

The National Security Social Network (Central) is planning to hold another pro-military rally in Taunggyi on the first-day of Taunggyi Tazaungdine hot-air balloon festival. So, 15 civil society organizations and political organizations have submitted a letter of protest to the Shan State chief minister.
