More than 40,000 local and oversea jobs created in late April

Myanmar created more than 40,000 local and oversea jobs for citizens in late April, according to the Department of Labour.

The total number of local jobs created by the government and the private sector was 24,048— 15,309 in Yangon, 455 in Nay Pyi Taw, 451 in Ayeyawady, 4,251 in Bago,  1,025 in Mandalay, 462 in Sagaing, 407 in Magway, 260 in Taninthayi, 173 in Kachin, 16 in Kayah, 304 in Kayin, five in Chin, 222 in Mon, 184 in Rakhine and 524 in Shan.

Myanmar dispatched 20,766 workers—15,411 to Thailand, 4,416 to Malaysia, 447 to South Korea, 307 to Japan,  61 to Singapore and UAE, 60 to Jordan and three to Qatar.

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population is working to help develop the country, increase the individual incomes of working age people and create more job opportunities.
