A truck crash on the Kyaikhto detour road, near mile post 110/1 on the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway, tragically claimed one life and injured five others on April 21 at 2:15 PM.

According to social aid organizations, the accident occurred in Fakaleik village, Kyaikhto Township, Mon State, when a truck travelling from Kyaiktho town towards Bago town suffered a brake failure and veered off the road into a nearby house yard.

"The impact trapped those inside the truck," explained a social aid organization representative. "Rescue teams from the Kyaikhto Township Fire Services Department and social aid groups collaborated to extricate the occupants."

Sadly, one of the six men on board the truck died at the scene. The remaining five individuals sustained injuries and were transported alongside the deceased to the Kyaikhto Township People's Hospital for treatment.
