After a bomb explosion in the town, another bomb went off one mile away killing two civilians and wounding three others. The injured were sent to the KNU-owned Taw Naw Hospital.

KNLA troops opened fire from Anphalay at about 1pm, and two of the army troops stationed at Kamaigon village monastery were injured, said a resident in Kyawkareik. But, conformation could not be made.

“The KNLA opened sniper fire and two army soldiers reportedly died. That’s why they are firing into the village. The people from the villages of Anphagyi, Anphalay and Kyaungshargon are fleeing to safer places, a local resident said.
