Myanmar may have continuous rainfall due to low pressure areas in Bay of Bengal and unseasonal storms, said an official from Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

“A low pressure area had intensified into a cyclone in Bay of Bengal in October and low pressure areas in Bay of Bengal and unseasonal storms may bring rain in Myanmar,” said the official.

Whirlwinds from east and west, remains of storm clouds from South China Sea and wind coming from the west which entered northern areas of Myanmar will bring rain across Myanmar.

“Myanmar may also have low temperature at night due to the effects of strong low pressure areas from China,” he said.

Two low pressure areas may occur in Bay of Bengal in November and one of them may intensify into a depression, according to monthly weather forecast for November by the DMH.

It said two low pressure areas may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a depression. Monsoon will be moderate in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weather will be partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain or thundershowers will be expected below normal in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway regions and Chin State and about normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states.
