A car rental company that can be said to be the biggest fraud in the car rental community has defrauded billions of kyats from vehicle owners and its clients, according to the car rental community.

The company that cheated was a vehicle rental company named King Throne located at the corner of Bogyoke Aung San Road and Thein Phyu Road.

The company leased cars from vehicle owners starting at a minimum of 500,000 kyats per month. It took at least 10 million kyats per car as a deposit from those who wanted to rent a car, and took tens of thousands of kyats per month as a rental fee.

The vehicle community knows that there are at least more than 100 vehicle owners who have been defrauded, and the number of vehicles is close to 300.

"If you count the deposit per car as 10 million kyats, it will reach one billion kyats. No one knows exactly," said a vehicle owner.

According to some vehicle owners, since the last two months, some vehicle owners have not received the rental fee and the company has not returned the vehicle.

"I haven't been received the rental fee since almost two months ago. This has never happened before, so I don't think it would be a fraud," said a vehicle owner.

The owner of the vehicle said that since about a week ago, when he visited the company's office, he saw that the office was closed.

Currently, vehicle owners post on social networking sites to inquire about the whereabouts of their vehicles. It is reported that inquiries are being made.

Some people who rent vehicles from this company contact the owners and return the rented vehicles. It is reported that the car rental company has not returned the deposits paid to them.

When the owners went to the first floor of the company's office at the corner of Bogyoke Aung San Road and Thein Phyu Road, they found only the company's sign and found that the office was closed.

"They come and inquire about the company from time to time. It is almost every day for as long as I can remember. That company has been closed for almost a month. Before closing, I saw that few employees came. About a month later, the office was closed. The company rented the office room. A lot of people come to ask about being scammed. If it happens, it would be good to report to the police station," said a resident near the company's office.

Some vehicle owners have filed a complaint against them at Botahtaung Township Police Station.
