EMG staff families donate cash and kind to Tantkyitaung Buddhist Monastery in Pale Myothit

Staff families of the Eleven Media Group presented offertories such as Waso robes and rice to Tantkyitaung Pariyat Patipat Buddhist Missionary School in Kontalapaung Village, Pale Myothit, Yangon Region, on September 28.

Moreover, the EMG and Daw Yin Maw Oo donated Ks2 million and Ks1 million respectively to mark the 86th birthday of Tantkyitaung Yanaung Chantha Abbot Sayadaw Bhaddanta Soma Buddhi.

Sayadaw Ashin Sakya Vamsa from Shwe Parami Monastery delivered a sermon sharing the merits gained.

EMG staff families are donating alms such as Waso robes and rice to facilitate daily meals for the monks during Buddhist Lent.

EMG staff families also donated Waso robes and rice to Pinsanika Sarthintaik in Yankin Township on September 20, Khema Theikdi Min Pariyatti Sarthintaik in Bonshegon Village, Shwepyitha Township on September 13 and Sein Yadana (Meiktila) Pariyati Sarthintaik in South Oakkalapa Township on September 5.

Offertories such as Waso robes and rice were donated to the storm-resistant Thadhama Yanthi monastery building in Thagya Hinoh Village, Daydeye Township, Pyapon District, Ayeyawady Region, on August 7. The monastery building was built as a cyclone shelter with the cash donations by the EMG for the victims of the cyclone Nargis in May 2008.

On August 22 also, Waso robes and rice were offered to Pwint Tauk Village Monastery in

Setotatara Township, Magway Region. The EMG and public well-wishers built and donated Sitagu ordination hall in Pwint Tauk Village after the whole village was evacuated due to the floods in Mone Creek in 2015.

EMG staff families make offertories such as Waso robes, day meals and Kathina donations during Buddhist Lent every year. In the previous Thingyan Water Festival also, donations were made.

Such donations will continue during this Buddhist Lent.
