It will be unlikely to hold the Fourth Meeting of the Union Peace Conference also known as the 21st Century Panglong Conference during next month, but it is needed not to be disappointed at peace process, said Lower House MP Oo Oo Hla Saw of Arakan National Party (ANP).

The remarks came from the discussions of Union peace process by the political parties group of the UPDJC at U Ottama Hall in Sittwe, Rakhine State on November 27.

“The political parties group of the UPDJC is holding peace talks across the country for enabling the people to know more about peace process. Strong and weak points can be seen in the peace talks. Is peace process going ahead or back? We must seek the opinions of the people,” said Lower House MP Oo Oo Hla Saw.

“We will submit the opinions of the people to the meetings of the UPDJC. Peace process will become faster. We are meeting with the people with the hope of turning into the positive trend. The start of the peace process is very good, but now it seems to be backsliding a little due to the misunderstandings. The meeting of UPDJC must have had during November. We hope the meeting would be held in December. We should not be disappointed at the peace process,” said Lower House MP Oo Oo Hla Saw.

Everyone must have the spirit of making peace. Peace and development are inseparable. War happening anywhere is not good for people. We must believe like so. Political solution must be sought on the table and it is the best way. If there is something difficult, we must overcome it. It is necessary for the people to understand it, said Lower House MP Oo Oo Hla Saw.
