China to provide assistance worth of Yuan 5 million to Myanmar Police Force

China will provide assistance worth of Yuan 5 million to Myanmar Police Force and Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, a member of the State Administration Council and Union Minister for Home Affairs, received the Golden Great Wall Commemorative Medal, the highest honour awarded by the Ministry of Public Security of China.

Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Myanmar delegation has been on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China from 24 to 29 April at the invitation of a member of the State Council, Ministry of Public Security Minister Mr Wang Xiao Hong to discuss law enforcement and security cooperation between Myanmar and China.

On 25 April, the Myanmar delegation visited Beijing People’s Police College. In the evening, they participated in a bilateral ministerial meeting at the Beijing Rui An Hotel, discussing security matters, the rule of law, border peace and stability, eradication of online fraud and human trafficking, and joint efforts against transnational crime.

The ministers signed and exchanged a letter of assistance worth RMB 5 million to the Myanmar Police Force.

Afterwards, Lt-Gen Yar Pyae received the Golden Great Wall Commemorative Medal, the highest honour awarded by the Ministry of Public Security of China, expressing gratitude for the recognition. There was also a friendly exchange of views on bilateral cooperation issues between Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Minister Wang Xiao Hong of China’s Ministry of Public Security.
