A tragic incident unfolded on the night of April 26 in front of Myanmar Plaza in Yangon as a homeless woman lost her life after being struck by a car.

 Charity groups swiftly responded, arriving at the scene around 10 pm. An official from the Shwe Yoathlwar charity group described the impact as powerful, stating that the woman was hit by the car with such force that she was thrown from one side of the road to the other. 

The victim, aged 47, had been known for begging in the area. Her body was transported to Yangon Hospital for further arrangements.
