On the 8th day of protests across Myanmar, the protests happening in Loikaw on February 13th were joined by seven more police personnel.

On February 10, there were 40 police personnel that joined the local protests. They were later joined by 12 more that, while not part of the protestors, were part of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM). There are now a total of 52 police personnel that had joined the side of the protestors and due to risk of getting arrested, they are now in hiding.

On February 12, two more joined the protestors. Including today, there are now a total of 61 police personnel that took part in CDM in Kayah State.

The military's true news information team had issued a statement that police personnel in Kayah State that are part of the protests were not part of the real police corp but were akin to an auxillary police force, positions made available for the local ethnic populace for job opportunities.
