According to the COVID-19 control department in Thailand, 500 Myanmar migrant workers have recovered after treatment.

Medical certificates to state that they had recovered will be issued to them, as stated in Thamsettakij, an information centre based in Thailand.

It is stated in Thamsettakij that the Director General of Covid Disease Control Department said that certificates to state they had recovered will be given to over 500 patients. There were also Myanmar migrant workers in the shrimp market. They too will be given certificates once they recover.

In addition there is a covid treatment hospital being constructed in Mahachai.

The responsible personnel from the Myanmar Embassy and the Thai authorities discussed for action not to be taken on illegal migrants, those without and CI, and all legal workers in Samutsakin District, the fish market area in Mahachai where the rate of COVID-19 contagion was high.

The Myanmar Embassy and Workers Diplomat office has urged all Myanmar  whether they have CI or not to go to the nearest hospitals and medical centres to get health clearance.  The Thai government is conducting tests free of charge to all foreigners that have had contact with COVID-19 infected patients, and all migrant workers.
