Three other Northern Alliance members say they are ready to cooperate militarily and politically with the Kachin Independence Organization/Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA) if needs arise.

Palaung State Liberation Front/ Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), Myanmar National Truth and Justice Party/Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MJTJP/MNDAA) and United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) made their vow in a message sent to the 61st Anniversary of Kachin State Day.

There were instances that the Northern Alliance members worked together and cooperated harmoniously in the military sectors whenever necessary, the message says.

As KIA has been standing as a partner organization for TNLA and AA through political and military cooperation, Ta'ang and Rakhine People are always grateful to Kachin State and its people.

In the message, they wish a success in the policies and Kachin revolution the KIO/KIA is implementing. They also pray for quick return of Kachin people displaced by war.

The three Northern Alliance members say every organization that is fighting by taking up arms is implementing their military and political objectives to ensure that the oppressed in Myanmar enjoy equality, self-administration, decision and fate and protection of their lives and property. KIA is among those organizations and the three members like the Kachin people value Kachin State Day, the message says.

KIO/KIA was formed on February 5, 1961, and the day was designated as Kachin State Day.
