Yangon Region National League for Democracy (NLD) executive body issued a statement on 8th February, asking NLD Party members to join the people in their protest movements.     

In the statement the NLD Yangon Region Executive body denounced the arrest of democratically elected government and the illegal seizure of power.       

The statement further mentioned that people all over the state were taking part in the protests in their own way.      

Government employees and civil servants as well as workers from private enterprises were actively taking part in the Civil Disobedience Movement, as mentioned in the statement of the executive body of Yangon region NLD Party.    

In the statement of the NLD Yangon executive body the NLD fully supports the non-violent protests of the people and asked the NLD Party members to join hand in hand with the people in their protests.
