The opposition Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) will send an official letter soon to demand a meeting with President Win Myint to discuss Myanmar's current situations, said USDP spokesperson Thein Tun Oo.

"It depends on current situations in the State. They are political, economic and social affairs. Declining economy and the insult to national sovereignty are also included. We will send an open letter to hold a positive discussion," said the spokesperson.

In the time of President Htin Kyaw also, the USDP sent a letter of request to meet with him but it was not allowed.

On May 23 this year, 26 political parties including the USDP sent a letter to the Union Election Commission (UEC) to hold a meeting to discuss election matters.

Thein Tun Oo said he was not sure if other political parties would include in demanding a meeting with the President.

Under the current government, presidential change occurred but both President didn't meet any political party.

The UEC has so far met with political parties three times although the previous Thein Sein government met with them 37 times, he pointed out.
