UEC Chair guarantees next election to be free, fair, and internationally accepted

The next election will be held as a free and fair election that is accepted by the voters and the international community, said Chairman of the Union Election Commission (UEC), U Ko Ko.

The Chairman of the Union Election Commission said this at the 14th anniversary ceremony of the Union Election Commission office held on March 10.

At the ceremony, the Chairman of the Union Election Commission presented the activities of various commissions that served during the 14 years, the actions done by the current Union Election Commission to hold the upcoming election as a free, fair and internationally accepted election, and the necessary support and appropriate honors for the employees.

Then, the honoring ceremony of 12 employees who won the model excellence award, second prize and excellent awards by subject in institutes of civil service and one employee who won first prize in the course opened by the Ministry of Transport and Communications was held and prizes worth about 6 million kyats were raffled. At the ceremony, Department of Arts under the Ministry of Religion and Culture performed music.
