Tragic discovery: missing child’s body found in drain in Bago Region

The lifeless body of three-year-old Maung Zwe Marn Thit has been discovered in a drain in DaikU town, Bago Region.

The child, youngest son of U Aye Zaw Myint and Daw Nwe Nwe Soe, had been missing for over three days since his disappearance around 5 p.m. on February 24. The grim discovery was made on the morning of February 27.

“Excruciatingly, are such a dead body size and this injury fair?” questioned the child’s grief-stricken father on social media.

The family member who found the child’s body near the Lwan Pagoda, close to their home, reported that the police are now investigating any potential injuries. The child’s funeral is scheduled for February 27 at Shan Su Cemetery in DaikU Township.

Adding to the distress, on February 25, four-year-old Ma May Zin Kyaw, the younger daughter of U Hla Myaing and Daw Ei Nyo, vanished from her home in Aung Thitsa Ward, Kalay, located in the Sagaing Region.
