Three months export value of industrial finished products exceeds over $400 million

Export value of industrial finished products in three months has increased by over US$400 million, paving the way for export value of all goods to exceed over US$280 million compared to the same period of last fiscal year, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce.

From October 1 to January 11 in the current 2018-2019 fiscal year, total export value reached US$4,062.558 million exceeding US$284.290 million compared to the same period of last FY, which saw the value of US$3,778.268 million.

Myanmar mainly exports agricultural products, animal products, fishery products, forest products, mineral products, industrial finished products (CMP) and others.

This FY, export value of industrial finished goods (CMP) hit US$2,184.169 million exceeding US$406.939 million compared to the same period of last FY during which US$1,777.230 million was earned.

Industrial finished products (CMP) exported by Myanmar include garment as a major product and slippers and bags.

Moreover, the ministry's data show that export value of agricultural produce amounted to US$868.108 million exceeding US$23 million compared to the same period of last year.

Over US$196 million was earned from export of animal products and over US$180 million from export of fishery products with both sectors seeing great increase in income this year.
