More than 449 tons of medical products, valued at over 4.898 million dollars, were imported via sea trade within a single week.

These essential goods arrived from a diverse range of countries, including Argentina, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Ecuador, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain, the Philippines, Singapore, Portugal, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam.

Notably, this recent import volume exceeded the previous comparable period by a substantial 80 tons. The surge in medical product imports reflects the global demand for healthcare supplies and underscores the critical role of international trade in meeting these needs.

During the entire month of December 2023, a staggering 1,399 tons of medical products, valued at 30.519 million dollars, were imported via sea trade. The same period saw contributions from the same countries, albeit with a slight decrease of over 400 tons compared to the nearest preceding period.
