A Tatmadaw (Air) fighter jet crashed during a training flight around Magway town, fell to the ground and caught fire, according to the press release of the State Administration Council (SAC).

On February 29, a fighter jet from the Tatmadaw (Air) was conducting a training flight around Magway town, when it arrived near Yaypokegyi Village, northwest of Pwintphyu town, it suddenly experienced engine failure at around 12:05 pm, fell to the ground, and caught fire, it said.

During the plane crash, the pilot was able to make an emergency exit and was able to be saved safely, and the investigation into the cause of the machine failure will continue, SAC announced.
