Some businesses in Mandalay to get nod for operation soon

Mandalay—Mandalay Region government will allow the operations of some essential businesses at the end of April.

As a measure to contain the spread of COVID-19, the region government will temporarily ban the operations of passenger bus lines, opening of hotels and guesthouses until mid-May.

According to the statement, foodstuff industry, medicine industry, private hospitals, power supply industry and banks will be allowed to open. Actions will be taken against them if they suspend their operations.

In addition, the factories, workshops and construction sites will be allowed to open only after being scrutinized by the inspection team comprised of technical experts from Mandalay Region government.

Apart from the above-mentioned businesses, hotels, guest houses, inns, garment shops and other businesses shall temporarily close until midnight of 15 May.  

Apart from cargo trucks, the region government has also restricted the entry and exit of passenger bus lines and the vehicle loaded with more than four persons until 15 May.
