SAC announces new five-point roadmap and 12 objectives

The State Administration Council (SAC) announced the new five-point roadmap and 12 objectives, including the fact that it will focus on achieving full stability and law and order throughout the Union, on February 3.

In the past, the SAC has established five-point roadmap and nine objectives, but now it has announced new five-point roadmap and 12 objectives and there are also changes in the contents.

According to the statement, in the five-point roadmap, it said an emphasis will be placed on peace and stability and the full prevalence of law and order throughout the Union to ensure the safety of the socio-economy life of the people, public-centred development tasks will be undertaken for the development of socioeconomic life to ensure the prosperity and food sufficiency of the country, efforts will be made to continue cementing the genuine discipline-flourishing multiparty democratic system and building the Union based on democracy and the federal system, an emphasis will be placed on achieving enduring peace for the entire nation in line with the agreements set out in the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement and Upon accomplishing the provisions of the state of emergency, free and fair multiparty democratic general elections will be held in line with the Constitution (2008), and further work will be undertaken to hand over State duties to the winning party in accordance with democratic standards.

In 12 objectives, in the political sector, it said to be able to build a union based on democracy and federalism by applying a true and disciplined multi-party democratic system with full justice, to emphasize on the implementation of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) for achieving lasting peace, to practice a free, active and neutral foreign policy and continuing to adhere to the "principle" of peaceful coexistence between countries and to have peace and stability, law enforcement and traffic safety throughout the Union.

In the economic sector, it said to further develop agriculture and livestock-based manufacturing with modern methods, and to build comprehensive development of other economic sectors as well, to stabilize the market economic system, invite international investments, and build the economic development of the entire ethnic people, to encourage and support medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to have long-term security and create employment opportunities that can produce many products of the state by promoting exports and small scale based on local raw materials to replace imports, and to implement the development of people's socio-economic life for the country's prosperity and food security.

In the social sector, it said to survive true patriotism for the spirit of the Union, to respect the customs and traditions of all ethnic groups and based on national spirit, religion, culture to preserve national characteristics, to strengthen the country's basic health care and develop a long-term and healthy health system for the whole nation and to promote comprehensive education sector in order to produce the human resources needed for the construction of a modern and developed democratic state.
