The Peace and Solidarity Committee of Mongla is going to try to be a self-administered region merging three regions, said Htein Lin, Chief of Secretaries, Vice-Chairman of the Peace and Solidarity Committee of Mongla (NDAA).

The 2018 year-end meeting of Special Region No 4, east of Shan State was held at the Headquarters of the Special Region No 4 from January 20 to 25.

At the year-end meeting, Htein Lin said that all cadres from military and civilian sides made concerted efforts. Especially, military affairs became more systematic and successful. We would try to be a self-administered merging three regions while constantly walking on the track of peace and development.

We will stick to the principles laid down by the Peace and Solidarity Committee of Mongla. The principles are—perpetuation of sovereignty of State, consolidation, peaceful development and peace prevailing in our region and along Myanmar-China border, said Htein Lin.

Htein Lin reaffirmed that relations with the regions bordering Mongla were needed to be strengthened. They should stay away from the sayings and acts disrupting regional unity and consolidation.
