President Win Myint attends swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister

President Win Myint attended the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his second term, held at Presidential House at New Delhi, according to Ministry of Information.

President of Sri Lanka, President of Kyrgyzstan, President of Bangladesh, Nepalese Prime Minister, Bhutanese Prime Minister and Special Representative of Thailand Prime Minister attended the ceremony.

Myanmar President left Nay Pyi Taw to attend the ceremony on May 30 with a special flight from Myanmar National Airlines by the invitation of Indian President and arrived in New Delhi in the afternoon.

The President and delegation were welcomed at the airport by the Secretary for Consular Affairs, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, officials from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, Myanmar Ambassador to India and Myanmar Military Attaché.

The President visited the Myanmar Ambassador’s residence in New Delhi and met with staffs of the embassy and military attaché office and their family members and gave words of guidance and instructions.

Myanmar delegation visited New Delhi’s national museum and viewed India’s successive generations of culture, art and accessories on display. Kyaw Tin, Minister for International Cooperation and officials accompanied the President.
