Efforts must be put into implementing the processes of peace landscape and federal Union establishment on schedule according to before and after 2020 calendar, said Major-General Baung Khe, leader of peace delegation of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS).

The remarks came from the opening speech of the leader of the RCSS in meeting with National Reconciliation and Peace Center (NRPC) in Nay Pyi Taw on July 11.

We will  have to make plans for the implementation of peace landscape and federal Union establishment on schedule according to before and after 2020 calendar. In so doing, can we build a federal Union we long for step by step, said Maj-Gen Baung Khe.

The NRPC-RCSS meeting focused on matters relating to 21st Century Panglong Conference, national-level political dialogues and official political talks.

We had to know the functions as to peace process and democratic federal Union establishment that the government wanted to carry out. We could discuss the matters what we wished during the meeting, said Maj-Gen Baung Khe.

"We had to know the functions as to peace process and democratic federal Union establishment that the government wanted to carry out. We managed to discussed the matters what we need with the government negotiators during the meeting. The government likes inclusiveness of all EAOs and it is trying for this. Today's meeting is a productive one to the establishment of federal Union and peace process. We all will work together to build a democratic federal Union representing national equality, democracy and autonomy in accord with the results of the political dialogues," said Maj-Gen Baung Khe.
