Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, head of the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan organizing committee, revealed plans to feature performances by K-pop stars and renowned artists from Korea at the central pavilion of the walking Thingyan festival in Nay Pyi Taw.

The announcement came during a coordination meeting aimed at ensuring the success of the Walking Thingyan festivities in Nay Pyi Taw as part of the 2024 Myanmar traditional Thingyan Festival. It was held at the Ministry of Information Assembly Hall on March 15, the meeting saw Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn emphasizing the importance of fostering joyous participation among the public and government employees alike. He pledged collaborative efforts across ministries to ensure a joyous Thingyan Festival experience for all attendees.

Furthermore, he underscored ongoing coordination with the Nay Pyi Taw Council to maximize attendance at the Walking Thingyan event. As a highlight, the central pavilion will see participation from Boss and Jobs Company alongside Korean firms. Ministries are dedicated to enhancing employee happiness throughout the Myanmar New Year celebrations, encouraging widespread participation for a truly festive atmosphere.

Following the minister's remarks, the project director of Brilliant Aura Co., Ltd. provided insights into the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan's layout, featuring four distinct zones. U Myo Myint Aung, Deputy Director General of Myanmar Radio and Television, acting as the coordinating coordinator for the Walking Thingyan, then detailed arrangements for ministry pavilions, water supply, electricity distribution; entry/exit permits processing, and pavilion construction.
