To ensure the accuracy and completeness of personal information in the e-ID system, citizens can check whether their data matches official records through an online platform, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Immigration and Population’s e-ID Department.

This verification process begins with comparing the information stored in the e-ID system against official records. If discrepancies are found, additional verification will be conducted with the official records. This was announced on January 2.

The e-ID Department has developed a web application that allows citizens to verify their personal information against official records online. This initiative aims to ensure the accuracy and completeness of personal data in the e-ID system.

Using the web application, citizens can cross-check the information on their National Registration Card (NRC) and household list (Form 66/6) with official records to confirm accuracy.

Personal data can be verified at http://service.eid.gov.mm. A guide for using the online application is also available on the e-ID Department’s Facebook page.

During the verification process, citizens must ensure that their personal information is entered accurately. To maintain data security, the process requires the individual's involvement, according to the department.

Additionally, the status of verification can be re-checked via a QR code. However, in compliance with data privacy regulations, the system will not display detailed personal information but will only indicate whether the data is accurate or contains discrepancies.
