President U Min Aung Hlaing said Myanmar has every opportunity to become a nation that can stand alongside the rest of the world if its people work together in unity, maintain discipline, and contribute to national development to the best of their abilities.
The president made the remarks while answering questions from the media after paying tribute at the 79th Martyrs’ Day ceremony on July 19.
“If we work in a disciplined and united manner and contribute with all our strength, there is no reason why the country cannot progress. There is also no reason why Myanmar cannot become a nation capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the world,” he said.
He added that the people of Myanmar possess great potential and expressed hope that they would fully utilize their abilities for the country’s benefit.
The president also stressed that national unity, hard work, and discipline are essential for building a strong and united country, noting that Myanmar still needs to strengthen adherence to discipline to achieve further development.
