Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services, arrived in Moscow to attend the 8th conference on international security, on April 22, announced the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation is welcomed by Deputy Minister of Defence Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin, Myanmar Ambassador for Russia Ko Ko Shein and officials at Vnukovo-3 airport in Moscow, the announcement said.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation visited Irkutsk Aviation Plant and studied the production of planes before the visit to Moscow.

When the Senior General and party arrived at Irkutsk Aviation Plant, the director general and officials of Irkutsk Aviation Plant explained the manufacturing of planes to them and then the Senior General raised the questions, it said.

Afterwards, the Senior General and party viewed round the installation and production of planes in the plant where they were explained by the director general and officials. Next, the Senior General and party visited prominent places in Irkutsk and posed for a group photo, it said.

The Tatmadaw delegation left Irkutsk by air in the afternoon on April 22, and arrived in Omsk in the evening. They were welcomed by President of Russia-ASEAN Business Council Ivan POLYAKOV and officials at the airport.

The Senior General and party visited JSC Radio Plant, where the plant manager explained the history and product range of the plant.

They then watched the video clip on the history of the plant and importance of communications sector, before being conducted round the plant by officials concerned. The Senior General and party then posed for documentary photo, it said.

They arrived in MKP-Media International Press Center, and the Senior General granted interview to news agencies namely Information Agency Siberian News, Radio Siberia, Prodvizhenie TV Channel, BRICS TV Channel and Information Agency OMSC HERE. The Senior General and the President of Russia-ASEAN Business Council then exchanged gifts, it said.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Nay Pyi Taw Airport on April 20 for the Russian Federation at the invitation of Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shouigu and the Russia-Myanmar Military Technological Cooperation Committee, announced the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services.

Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Lt-Gen Min Naing and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) are included in the delegation. During the Russian visit, the Senior General will attend the 8th Moscow Conference on International Security, meet the Russian government and military leaders and visit factories, workshops and significant places, it said.
