The low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal will become into a depression on May 24 and may move towards the coast of Bangladesh, according to the World Meteorological Institutions.

Referring to the announcements of the world's weather stations, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) regularly publishes the conditions of the low pressure area.

According to DMH-WRF Model measurements at 6:30 am on May 22, the low pressure area is expected to persist, move northeastward and become stronger, and may develop into a depression over the central Bay of Bengal on May 24.

After that, it can move to the north-northeast. It will intensify and may reach the northeastern Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwestern Bay of Bengal by the evening of May 25. It was observed that it could move towards the coast of Bangladesh on May 26 by turning back to the north-northwest.

According to the forecast made by the Global Forecasting Model (GFS) of National Hurricane Center in United States on May 22, the low pressure area may move to the northeast. It will intensify and may develop into a depression in the central Bay of Bengal on May 24. After that, it will move northward and become stronger and reach the northern Bay of Bengal on May 25. It is expected to turn northwest and move between the coast of India and the coast of Bangladesh on May 26.

According to the May 22 forecast of the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) Data of England, the low pressure area may move to the north-northeast. It may intensify and develop into a depression in the northern Bay of Bengal on May 25. It will turn back to the north-northwest and move between the coast of India and the coast of Bangladesh on May 26.

According to the forecast of the Global Forecasting Model (GFS) data of India on May 22, the low pressure area may move northeastward and intensify, and may develop into a depression over the central East Bay of Bengal on May 24. After that, it will continue to move to the northeast and may move towards the Rakhine coast on May 25.
